AFI® Automotive Shopping Study

The AFI Automotive Shopping Study is the industry’s largest continuously running survey of reported automotive shopping behavior in the United States. Not only does the AFI Automotive Shopping Study provide insight into the mix of vehicles shopped, the current demographic makeup of new vehicle shoppers, and the composition of consumers’ shopping sets, but through linking results with the AFI Automotive Intentions and Purchases Study, we can uniquely answer questions such as:

  • Is my brand’s demand momentum carrying forward into retail shopping activity?
  • How do consumers "segment" the market based on reported shopping behaviour?
