Are you an affiliate marketer? Where’s the best place to make your money?
It’s the most common question in affiliate marketing and – trust me – if everyone had the answer, we’d all be rich! Being serious, it’s important to make an effort to find the most profitable affiliate marketing niches before you set out. Getting a niche that has lots of products and, critically, lots of people who want to buy these products is literally the difference between failure and success when it comes to affiliate marketing.
Today, we’re going to take a look, not at specific niches (there are too many), but instead 3 awesome niche types to help you move in the right direction when looking for the right niche for you. These three areas are evergreen and reliable and are always great bets for making money with this kind of business. Once you have a solid idea of them in your head, you can use your own knowledge and research to drill down into actual, specific niches.
Ready for success? Great, let’s go!
The three niche areas are:
- Hobbies and personal activities
- Health and wealth
- High-end affiliate programs
Hobbies and personal activities
Our first category is a doozy. This niche is great because it is just so varied, and the people who are buying products are very passionate. If you can manage to combine those passionate hobbyists with people who also have plenty of money to spend, it’s a match made in heaven.
Just think about the people you know with fat bank accounts. Now think of their hobbies – golf, scuba diving, travel, ballroom dancing. All of them take a serious investment. Hell, I bake bread, and it costs me WAY more than if I bought it in the store!
Apart from whatever cost is associated with actually doing the activity – class fees, membership fees, travel, etc, – there are all the accessories, equipment, and tools that go with each hobby. Beyond these material things, there’s also the possibility of training material and guides, and non-essential equipment that’s nice to have all the same, like medal holders and dough scrapers – or maybe that’s just me?
To give you the tiniest bit of insight into these hobby niches, we’ve listed a few below. And trust us when we say “a few” – this is only the tip of the iceberg!
Hobby and pastimes niche
- Cigar Lovers
- RC Planes & Drones
- Car Auctions
- Model Ship Building
- Sports Betting
- Go Kart Plans
- Rock climbing
- Pole dancing
- Adult sports
- Bow Hunting
- Gun Safety
Now, I know you might be thinking “steampunk? Glassblowing?! Come on!”, but for real. Just take a look on Amazon and check out two things – how many results the niche gets, and how active the products are – are people rating and, more importantly, reviewing the products? That means the consumers are interested and passionate, and also leaves some clues as to how you could sell a certain product, but better! If a niche scores highly on both fronts, then you could be onto a winner.
Health and wealth
You know that saying “Only two things in life are guaranteed – death and taxes.”? That’s a bit like this category, although by and large, it includes people trying to avoid death, not welcoming it. This perennially popular niche category includes everything relating to people trying to make money, solve health problems, and find love. They’re pretty universal concerns and given that they are related to such basic aspects of life, always popular. The online business industry is only in UK worth $100bn what tels you much about the strength of this niche according to the Guardian
The awesome thing about the health and wealth niche is that it offers so many varied topics, you’d be lying if you said you couldn’t find one to use. In just the health category alone, you have pretty much every health complaint, beauty worry, and age-related problem you can consider, not to mention the more interesting sections, like sexual performance and pregnancy. From cancer and dieting to hearing loss and performance enhancers, there is an almost never-ending choice in this area.
Just to get started, take a look at this (short) list of health niches:
- Back and neck pain
- Hair loss
- Reproductive health
- Healthy eating
- Digestive health/healthy gut
- Weight loss
- Leaky Gut
- Gut Health
Some other pros to the health niche, apart from the fact that there is almost never-ending choice, is that many products are quite pricey (giving better commission – think exercise equipment, nutritional supplements, and anti-aging treatments) and often, the purchases are recurring, meaning people come back, again and again, to top up on what they’ve bought.
Even though most people argue that health is better than wealth (from a philosophical point of view) we all know that making money isn’t exactly unpopular. That’s why we’d also urge you to take a look at the many money-making and wealth generation sub-niches, and see if any of them fit your needs.
There are many reasons the wealth niche might be the one for you. The search for (fame and) fortune is a universal concern. It doesn’t matter the time, place or person, the vast majority of humans want to make more money. That means this particular niche has plenty of life in it yet. Another pertinent point is that many of these money-generating systems are based on information and instructions that change over time, meaning that those using them will keep coming back to get the latest and most up-to-date information that pertains to their particular product. That’s good news for you.
What kind of products can you find in the wealth niche? Well, the stock market; gambling; lottery; jobs; affiliate, multi-level, and internet marketing; and random business opportunities are just a few. You can see some more below.
- Facebook Marketing
- Sales Tips
- Gold Trading
- Offshore Banking
- Forex & Trading
- Sports Betting
- Coin Collecting
- Time Management
And that’s just a handful.
The final part of this affiliate niche trilogy is what some writers optimistically call “romance”. In other words, this niche focuses on all the ways that people pay to secure a romantic partner, or to learn how to get better at trying
While not as varied as the hobby niche, there’s probably still more variety to it than you know. For example, once you identify “dating” as a niche, you have all the sub-niches that are associated with every single human out there who could possibly be dating – seniors, professions, LGBT, widows, ethnic groups, religions, lifestyle choices, geographical location and so on.
As well as dating you have what comes before (pick-up training), what comes next (wedding planning, baby showers, newlyweds) and perhaps what comes after (marriage counselling, divorce, etc.). It’s a varied niche and not one that will be disappearing anytime soon. And as many, many movies will have taught you, for some people, there are no limits to what they will do to get the right partner for them – and that includes spending money!
Organizing masterminds was for a long time a niche laying in the darn which just a few people dared to touch – nowadays everyone knows how profitable organising masterminds can be. Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi are one of the best at that and right now they are publishing an online training course where everyone can learn exactly this. The course is called Knowledge Business Blueprint and the review is available here
High-end affiliate programs
Targeting niche based affiliate programs that are linked to them is nothing new, but today we’d encourage you to take a look specifically at high-end products, like travel, luxury goods, casinos, cars, and interior decorating. In many cases, the affiliate commissions from these niches will exceed $5,000 per sale, which we’re sure you’ll agree is nothing to sneeze at.
The great thing about this sub-niche is that it is very resistant to waves in the market, meaning that the people who are buying $200,000 watches are likely to be able to keep doing that, no matter what the stock markets are doing. Also, in the particular gambling/casino niche, remember that gambling is indeed an addiction, so people do tend to keep coming back.
Another pertinent fact to remember is that since the commissions are so high, you only ever have to snag a very small number of potential customers to make a profit. If your commissions are in the $0.10 range, you have to make literally thousands of sales to even register a profit, whereas if one sale makes $5,000 in commissions, 2 or 3 a month would be more than enough for many people
It’s easy to find these high-end affiliate schemes, but to get you started, take a look at some below:
- Zoara (8% Commission and 2% Sales)
- Moda Operandi (10% Commission)
- Ambassadorwatches (8% Commission)
- Farfetch (10% Commission)
- Style Bop (8% Commission)
- Whole Sale Designer Handbag (50% Commission)
- Angela Roi (20% Commission)
- Neobux (50% Commission)
- Amazing Selling Machine Affiliate Program (50% Commission)
- Product Launch Formula Affiliate Program (50% Commission)
To find more of these programs, have a think about common “luxury” products, like handbags, fashion, cars, cigars, property, luxury travel, jet charter, video creation tools and other things that require a lot of cash! Talking about video creation tools – you can check out one of the best tools for video creation called Viddyoze 3 which also has a proper commission program. You can get more info here
So there you have it. Hundreds of ideas for super-profitable niches that will send your affiliate ambitions into overdrive. Even though we haven’t listed hundreds in this very article, simply go through the lists and divide them into sub-niches. There are lots of sites on the internet that will help you do just that.
Once you’ve found your niche, all you need to do is act on it. Don’t let these ideas just sit around, gathering dust. When you have a great niche, make it work for you – blogging, having a website, using social media and building an email list (and then using it!) all work great. If you are struggling about how it works or how you could get started with this then you can also read through our super affiliate system review by John Crestany to learn how you can get started.
These particular niche groups are great because they focus on basic human activities that will be around for a long time to come. Everybody wants to make money, find love and live forever, while the rich will always spend their money, and the poor will always want to know how to make more. With this combination of needs and motivations, the only thing that’s really guaranteed is that if you look, you’ll find hundreds of ways to sell to thousands of people.
