Position Summary:

Uses an understanding of client needs to prepare budgets and proposals that attract and retain key accounts.  Communicates regularly with current and potential clients to develop relationships, explore new business opportunities, and educate others about GfK Custom Research North America’s products and services. Maintains an active network of business leads.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify clients’ requirements and expectations.
  • Prepare budgets and proposals to be submitted to existing and/or potential clients.
  • Participate in sales calls to prospective clients.
  • Meet with clients in-person or by phone.
  • Develop an understanding of the research needs of existing clients.
  • Propose new research ideas and/or directions to existing clients.
  • Communicate study progress and issues to client.
  • Furnish information on capabilities and experience to prospective clients.
  • Identify opportunities for new business with existing clients.
  • Provide input into project pricing.
  • Balance needs of client with what is best for the company.

Education:

BA/BS or MS desirable
