The Senior Account Director will oversee the account management of multiple client accounts and use consultative selling to address client needs and drive business growth.   The Senior Account Director will be required to network both internally within existing clients and externally to prospects to obtain revenue generation leads.   Specific responsibilities include:

  • Identify opportunities for new business with existing clients.
  • Participate in sales calls to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients.
  • Identify clients’ requirements and expectations to develop an understanding of their research needs.
  • Prepare budgets and proposals to be submitted to existing and/or potential clients.
  • Propose new research ideas and/or directions to existing clients.
  • Communicate regularly with clients either in-person or by phone to report on study progress and assess satisfaction. 
  • Solicit referrals from clients to other prospective clients.

Experience & Skill Responsibilities: 

  • 6 to 8 years related work experience in Financial Services research with a minimum of 4 years experience on the supplier side.
  • Anticipates and responds to customer/client needs by seeking and acting on their feedback.
  • Communicates in writing both non-technical and technical information in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
  • Ability to read and use tables, graphs, and diagrams to sum up information. Is able to choose the best way to display the data.
  • Takes responsibility for the completion of job tasks. 
  • Ability to speak to others in one-on-one or small group settings. 
  • Takes the lead in performing tasks or promoting new ideas or work methods.
  • Works well in difficult settings or under stress and is able to work under tight time frames, heavy work loads or conflicting demands.
  • Clearly demonstrates an understanding of ethical boundaries and an avoidance of potentially compromising business situations.
  • Ability to manage time and set work priorities.

Education:

BA/BS in Marketing or equivalent, MS desirable.
