Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the analysis and reconciliation of all tax related P&L and balance sheet accounts including current and
  • Deferred income tax expense, income taxes payable and receivable, and long term and short term deferred tax assets and liabilities.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of tax balance sheets for multiple US companies.
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated group FAS 109 tax provision.
  • Assist in the preparation of provision to return reconciliations and book true up entries for temporary tax balance sheet items.
  • Assist in the preparation of numerous quarterly tax reporting (IFRS) information packages to head office.
  • Prepare federal, state, and local income/franchise tax returns, including all estimates and extensions.
  • Research tax issues using on-line (CCH) tax research network.
  • Assist in managing fixed assets in Best software.  

Experience & Skill Responsibilities: 

The candidate must have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of GAAP and FAS 109 and the differences between the to accounting methods.
  • Cursory understanding of IFRS accounting is a plus.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects/tasks.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • 5 years of corporate tax experience with an emphasis of compliance and FAS 109 systems. 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
