Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Research Director works closely with the Senior Research Director and Account Management to deliver excellent study design, implementation, and analysis in order to meet client needs. The objective of the Research Director is to effectively lead all assigned studies in order to deliver them on time and on budget.  The Research Director also assists Account Management in the preparation of proposals for clients.

  • Ensures studies are completed accurately, on time, and on budget.
  • Responsible for the full range of project steps from estimating and confirmation letters to acting as the key interface with the Research Analyst and with Marketing Services.
  • Builds client loyalty to GfK by delivering exceptional research with exceptional service, and builds strong client relationships as the primary contact on assigned accounts.
  • Effectively manages and leads project team members to achieve desired outcomes.

Experience & Skill Responsibilities:

  • 6 - 8 years related work experience marketing research or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • This person must have proven research design skills.
  • People interaction: Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Presenting: Must have ability to present project results to clients.
  • Will need an appreciation of computer systems and a good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Education:

BA/BS in Marketing or equivalent, MS desirable
